Artist's Comments

This isn't technically part of the fantastical creatures series... but more an excuse to finish this piece that had been sitting around unpainted and neglected for ages. However, she fit into the category as a halfling of sorts. But I really like how it turned out.

I will update this at some point with a photo of the finished piece that doesn't have those lines running through it. The lines are from trying to scan three sections that form this picture, but it is all one picture.

You are really loving your gold pain- though I'm sure it looks better in real life.

Nicely done, I like your use of gold to lighten up the work using it as lineart

If off, I applaud you for being able to use traditional media so nicely. Your entire gallery is superb.

This piece looks like a mix of both watercolor and acrylic paints. Am I wrong? I haven't used traditional paints for the longest time. So Great job on blending the two medias together to make the final product. My only critique would be that the large use of gold on the hair makes the face seem a little focused out. The contrast between the gold and brown make the eyes go directly toward the hair, and the face is then zoned out. You could try add more shadows to her face to make more contrast and even out the picture.
Again, lovely job on the traditional works. :worship:
